I recently received this Lip and cheek palette from Seraphine Botanicals and I was so excited to play with it. I normally use powdered blush but I’ve been loving cream face products lately. With everything that has happened with COVID and wearing a mask most of the day, my makeup has been on the lighter side. Cream products just tend to be more what I’m leaning towards.
I love how this is a multi-use product. It says just a lip and cheek palette, but these would be great to use as an eyeshadow! I have never used any products from this brand, but they have so many fun products I can’t wait to play with!
This palette comes with 5 shades – Petal Pink, Cantaloupe, Deep Raisin, Cherry Brown, and Dusty Rose. Each pan has a .25 oz product and costs $45, which makes it $9 per shade.
The base of the product is made with coconut derivatives, Pure Shea Butter, and Vitamin E. It is a very hydrating formula. It also is vegan, has no parabens, phthalates or mineral oil.
How it Applies and Wears
My first impression of this palette was it reminded me of Glossier products. It’s the kind of makeup that gives you that your skin but better look. When you first swatch the product it is super pigmented, I was a little nervous that it was just going to be hot pink on my face but it blends out to be the perfect color.
It has a great texture and blends right into the skin. I’ve been wearing it on bare skin and it gives you the perfect blushed look like it’s your actual skin that’s giving the color. When I’m wearing makeup I’ll dip a brush into one of the shades and blend it on my cheek, then use my fingers to blend the rest in. If I don’t have any foundation on I blend it with just my hands. I was so impressed with how seamlessly this blended into my skin.
How it wears as a Lip Product
I am also just as impressed with using this as a lip product. This feels so comfortable on your lips, it feels like you’re wearing a super moisturizing chapstick. It doesn’t sink into the lines in your lips as most lipsticks do. The colors are so beautiful as lip shades. It gives you the perfect barely there look. I use a lip brush to apply and I just need one coat.
Overall I am so impressed with this palette from Seraphine Botanicals and I highly recommend it. I think I’m now converted to cream blush! I just love how easy this palette is to use. I’ve been throwing on a tinted moisturizer then I add some of this blush and a little to my lips put on mascara and I’m good to go! It’s the perfect no-makeup makeup product.
