June 2021 Favorites | Makeup + Skincare

I share so many different product reviews on this blog, but I’m not very good at updating with products that have made it into my routines after the initial review. I decided to start a monthly youtube series where I post my monthly favorites and I wanted to share them over on my blog as well! I’ll have the youtube video linked at the bottom of the post. Here are my most used, fav products from June!

Bliss Clear Genius Cleanser | $13

For the longest time, I used the EltaMD cleanser that I talked about in this post. I refused to try anything new but I ran out of it one day and couldn’t find anywhere to buy it so I decided to take a chance on this Bliss Cleanser, and I am SO glad I did! This is seriously one of the best face washes I have ever used, and not to mention it is only $10! I love that this face wash contains BHA because as you know I’m a sucker for anything with AHA or BHA in it. So If you have sensitive, acne-prone skin and you’re tired of paying for an expensive face wash I would highly recommend checking this one out!

Side note for anyone that’s nervous about drugstore face wash. My esthetician who I would trust my life with told me it really doesn’t matter what face wash you use as long as it cleans your skin. It’s only on your skin for under a minute.

Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Overnight Serum | $88

I hadn’t tried anything from Dr. Dennis Gross until a few months ago and I immediately fell in love with this brand. They seriously have such high-quality skincare. I am one of the biggest fans of retinol, I think every single person should be using it a couple of times a week. It is one of the main things that changed my skin when I was starting to clear my acne/scars. I don’t think this one is as intense as the ones you would buy from a medspa. But it is better than nothing. I’ve added this into my skincare routine a few nights a week, and every time I use this I wake up and my skin feels so soft. I’m really excited to see what results I get from this with time!

Lenus Marula Oil Serum| $34

I received this oil from a brand collab back in December and fell in love with it. I usually only use rosehip oil but this oil saved my dry skin when I was home in Utah for the holidays. Once I got back to California I had still used it a few times a week and loved how dewy it made my skin! If you are nervous about using oils on your face because this is an oil serum, so it has other ingredients mixed in with it to make it not as concentrated. I wanted to add this to the list because it is an empty that I would definitely repurchase.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Dew Drops | $34

This is definitely an unnecessary product, but if you are looking for a way to make your foundation glow this is the perfect product! You can use this as a serum with your skincare, apply it as a highlighter over makeup, or you can wear it on no makeup days to give your skin a natural glow. My personal favorite way to use this is to mix it in with my foundation. It gives you the perfect glowy look!

O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair Chapstick | $11

This is a very random product but it has been a lifesaver this summer! Being in Utah has destroyed my lips, they have been so dry. This is the only thing I have found that helps! I used to use this years ago but kind of forgot about it. You can buy a three-pack with all the different kinds for about $10 on amazon. I also love this brands lotion, if you have cracks on your heels it will be a game-changer!

Hynt Beauty Duet Perfecting Concealer | $24

This is regularly $24 but is on sale for $18 at Ulta right now!

Last month I posted a Reel on my Instagram reviewing a full face of Hynt Beauty makeup. I was really impressed with a lot of their products, but the concealer has become my new favorite! I have been using it for about 2 months and literally have barely made a dent in the product. It is one of the most full coverage, but lightweight concealers I have ever used. It will cover everything!

One of the main things I love about this brand is they are a natural makeup brand. I sometimes forget how many bad ingredients are in makeup so I love when I can find a better alternative that actually works!

RMS Beauty Straight Up Mascara | $26

I reviewed this earlier in June on my Instagram for the launch of this mascara, and have kept it in my rotation. This is the perfect everyday mascara. It has a really big fluffy wand that makes your lashes look amazing in one coat. It doesn’t flake or smudge and my lashes stayed curled all day. This is also another brand that uses clean ingredients in their products!

Lawless The Little One Eyeshadow Palette | $25

I can’t even count how many times I have used this palette. It is the perfect size for travel and gives you everything you need to create so many different eye looks. This has become one of my favorite eyeshadow formulas because of how easy and fast you can blend these shades. I definitely need to buy more of their shadows because this is the only palette I have used in about two months!

You can watch my video talking more in-depth about all of these products below!
