It’s a Bow Christmas

I know it is a highly debated topic but I am a huge believer in decorating for Christmas at the beginning of November. I love how cozy the decorations make the house feel and I want that feeling to last as long as possible! This year I went all out to make my home feel as cozy and christmasy as possible but on a budget. I wanted to share all the decor I got to show that you can have beautiful Christmas decor without spending a lot of money!

Having only been married a few years and moving around I never committed to a lot of Christmas decorations. Since we have a lot more room this year, I decided it was finally time to get a big Christmas tree! I picked up this 7.5 foot flocked tree from amazon and I am so beyond obsessed with it! It comes pre-lit and has different light settings. I couldn’t believe how expensive trees are when I was looking but this one was only $179 on amazon. It is super simple to put together, I was able to put it together by myself! If you are looking for an affordable yet high quality Christmas tree, I highly recommend this Amazon one! I know it’s going to last for years to come!

What I Used to Make my Bow Christmas Tree

I am normally a neutral girl so I don’t know what got into me but I went full color this year for Christmas! Since my home and furniture are mostly white I thought it would look so good to add a lot of color to my holiday decor! Just like everyone else, I have been obsessed with bows so I wanted my tree to be covered in them! To make the bows for my tree I ordered this pack of velvet ribbon on amazon. It ended up making around 75 bows! I then found some ribbon on shein that was only $1 a roll so I took a chance on it and it ended up being perfect! I ordered a bunch of different sizes and colors and it feel like it really made my tree come together!

The thing that inspired my decor was this set of ornaments that I absolutely fell in love with from anthropologie. I just could not justify spending over $70 on ornaments so I did some digging and I found a very similar set of glass ornaments from target! The target set came with way more and had different sizes in the mix! I then ordered these transparent ornaments to fill in the gaps on the tree! I am so happy with the way it came together!

Everything I used for my tree is linked below!

CONSOLE DECOR

Since we don’t have a fireplace I decided to decorate our tv console the same way I would decorate a mantel above a fireplace!

I wanted to create a little Christmas village so I draped this $5 target garland over the top and mixed in a variety of different shapes and colors of bottle brush trees. In between the trees I added this set of ceramic light up houses, it made it look so cozy! To finish off the look I added some tall candles and candle sticks, then hung my stockings with bows up above them!

I am so obsessed with how my Christmas decor came out this year! I don’t know how I’m going to take it down in January! Hopefully this blog post gives you some ideas on how you can decorate on a budget this year!
