Since the colder months are coming up it is officially self tan season! I’m always looking for the best tanning products to make my summer glow last all year long. What is it?
This Face Tan Serum is a gradual self tanning serum that is beyond easy to apply and is able to be added into your normal skincare routine effortlessly. After you wash your face you apply a few drops to dry, cleansed skin. A little bit goes a long way so I start with a a tiny bit and add more as needed! I always like to wait 5-10 minutes after I apply the serum to give it time to dry down before I apply any other skincare products! I have been using this about 3 nights a week as the first step in my skincare routine.
Since it is a gradual tanning product you have to be consistent to see the results, that’s why I use it 3-4 nights a week. The more you use it and the more consistent you are the more the tan will start to build up. Even from the first use you get a beautiful natural looking tan! I’ve found that I get my favorite color after 3-4 uses. One of the main reasons I love this tan serum so much is because it doesn’t leave your skin looking like you have a fake tan on. I have never ever tried a self tanner that looks so natural. It blends so well into your skin you would never know it wasn’t a real tan!
I am someone that has very sensitive, acne prone skin so I get nervous testing out new skincare products. Especially when it comes to self tanners I’m testing on my face. I have had absolutely no breakouts since I started using this. Not only did it not break me out is has left my skin feeling very hydrated! For anyone that is worried about their acne prone skin you don’t need to worry with this product.
One of the reasons I love this is you don’t get any of that gross self tan smell! The product has a very light, fresh scent. Once it has dried into your skin the smell is completely gone. If you are sensitive to skincare with scents this won’t be a problem for you since the scent completely disappears once it’s applied! I also have never had any issues with it turning my white pillow cases orange!
I know I’ve only talked about how I use this serum at night but it can be used in the morning and the night! It applies amazing under makeup, and since it leaves your skin so hydrated it makes your makeup apply beautifully!

What’s in the Serum?
One of the things I love about this is it’s a 2 in 1 kind of product. You get a gradual self tanner and hydrating serum in one! This Face Tan Serum is made with Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, and Vitamins to help hydrate and plump the skin.
One of the hardest parts about winter is how dry my skin gets. When my skin gets dry self tanner doesn’t apply as well because it clings to the dry patches. I love how hydrating this serum is because it keeps your skin from getting dry while giving it a bronzed glow.
Face Tan Serum vs Face Tan Water
I know you’re probably wondering how this differs from the Bali Body Face Tan Water. So I wanted to point out the differences so you can see which one works best for you! The main difference is the Face Tan Water develops into a darker tan in 4-6 hours. Where as the Face Tan Serum is more of a gradual product that develops over time! If you are a tanning beginner I would highly recommend going with the Face Tan Serum because it is basically impossible to mess up!
Where if you are in a hurry and needing a quicker tan that’s where the Face Tan Water comes in handy. I know these seem like similar products but when you use them they really are very different. They are both great products, it is just what you are personally wanting!
I feel like a broken record but in my opinion this is one of the best self tanning products Bali Body has come out with! I am in love with how natural this face tan serum looks on the skin. Only a few easy applications and you are left with a perfect tan application every time. It is extremely hydrating and perfect for anyone with dry skin and on top of that it leaves you glowing and bronzed! Overall I would highly recommend this Face Tan Serum to anyone!
